Fridays @ 5:30pm at Meridian Axiom
ALSO: I'm registered for a Zumba Toning certification on March 10th. After that training is complete, I'm going to be posting where you can find my Toning classes (more than likely at Nampa Fit Studio) once I get comfortable with the choreo. :)

In other news, I've started a Zumba Fitness for Faculty in the Boise School District. We meet for a 6 week session and it's been a great success so far! We've had one class already and about 15-18 people showed up! We're taking steps for a healthier lifestyle and it feels amazing! We can't serve the kids unless we serve ourselves first with good health and exercise.

ATTENTION ZUMBA LOVERS: MASTER CLASS ON AUGUST 13TH!
Attention ZUMBAFANS!! August 13th, there will be a Zumba Master Class at the Treasure Valley YMCA at 6pm. What is a Master class? Well, it's like a regular Zumba class, except you get the BEST instructors in the Treasure Valley sharing their own flavors with all of you!! Cost is $15.

The room is booked!
A fellow Zumba Instructor and I have officially made it a goal for both of us (and other Treasure Valley Zumba Instructors) to attend the 2012 Zumba Instructor Convention in Orlando, Florida!! Apparently this year's Convention was a huge hit because not only did 7,000+ Zumba Instructors from around the world attended but ALSO the hip-hop artist, PITBULL made a special appearance for the Friday night Fitness-Concert! Wyclef-Jean also was in attendance as well!!
What happens during a Zumba Convention you ask? Well, think of it as a Comic Book Convention...BUT WAY, WAY, WAY COOLER!!! People also tend to lose a few pounds while there too due to massive amounts of exercise! This convention is only open to Zumba Instructors who are a part of the Zumba Instructor Network (ZIN) and are in good standing. There, they can get extra specialty certifications such as Aqua Zumba, Zumba Toning, Zumbatomic (Zumba for kids, ages 12 and below), Zumba Gold (Zumba for the active, older adult or the de-conditioned individual), etc. There's a new specialty that they've showcased during the convention and that's called Sentao, which is a Zumba workout on a chair--very low to no impact on the joints! The convention also offers specialty "boosts" which are little flavor sessions people can go to if they already teach a certain specialty and just need new ideas and whatnot. Now, the convention isn't all work and no play, they DO have LOADS of fun there too, such as the Glimmer and Glow Party and as I mentioned earlier, the Fitness-concert where special guest appearances may happen!
As you can see, this is a beyond-awesome event and I must be in attendance next year with thousands of my closest friends in the Zumba Fitness world!! And that's why I've gone ahead and booked a room at the most coveted event in a Zumba Instructor's fitness career...

OMG! You have no idea what you missed if you couldn't make it to this morning's Zumba Master Class with Camilo Jimenez!! IT WAS SO FUN AND AN AWESOME WORKOUT!!! He's such an energetic and talented dancer and really got the crowd moving and grooving! Such a great way to start the weekend!!

NEW PROMOTION
This Saturday (5/14) I am inviting everybody to BRING A FRIEND FOR FREE. That's right! It's like a 2fer--2 for the price of 1! Starting in June, any first-timer to my Zumba Fitness class at Heirloom Dance Studio gets in for FREE! Who can argue with that? So bring your friends or tell your friends about this awesome deal. If they can't make it for the rest of this month for whatever reason, tell them to get on in here to Heirloom muy pronto in June for their first free Zumba class!! 10:30am!
I also have punch cards that people can pick up at anytime. You can either pay $5/class OR buy the punch card at $45 for 10 classes (that's right, your 10th class is free)...If you buy the classes in advance, that means you don't have to keep remembering cash/checks each time you come to class until your card runs out. :)

I'm loving my new schedule at all my locations!!! Still trying to build up clientele so bring your friends and let's have a party!!!
Oh and some good news: March 30th-April 9th at Meridian ATA Martial Arts is having a special for Zumba--ALL ZUMBA CLASSES ARE FREE!!! After this time period though, if you sign up for Zumba classes before 4/15, you can get unlimited classes for $49/month and if you sign up after 4/15, it'll be $69/month for unlimited classes. If you also take their Krav or Kickboxing classes, they can work out a special Zumba combo deal for you! So come on in and try it for free while you can, and be sure to tell your friends!

As for my Saturday morning class at Heirloom Dance Studio: I will bring punch cards for all students and the 10th class is free!

I just auditioned at NampaFit Studio today and got a position as a Zumba Instructor! I'm currently working on putting together a schedule for myself with the studio owner. I will post one as soon as I know what's happening. Also, I'm demonstrating a Zumba® Fitness class at a karate studio near my house.
